"Guitarists like Peter Pik don't come along all that often. But when they do, it's a breath of fresh air to hear the instrument played the way God intended. Unaccompanied and allowed to speak for itself.

Peter is a gifted solo guitarist with many feathers in his cap. Most noteably being directly responsible for the guitar transciptions found in Tommy Emmanuel's book, "Note for note". Peter has also released his own EP with a second CD on the way at the time of this writing.

Peter's reportoir encompasses many styles from jazz, rock, country, and classical. But what separates him from the pack is that there is no accompaniment. No backing tracks, just pure solo guitar. Think Chet Atkins, George Golla, and the aforementioned Tommy Emmanuel, and you get the idea of what Peter Pik is all about. When asked if he'd ever consider doing some singing with his playing, the answer never varies, "Why ruin a good thing?".

I have been lucky enough to catch Peter at several of his shows, and it's always been a pleasure to sit back and relax and not feel like I've had my head smashed in with a brick.

I've also been fortunate enough to jam with Peter in his living room. This option isn't available to everyone, but if you get to one of his gigs, it's pretty much the same feel.

If you're a fan of fine pickin', then don't miss the chance to catch Peter Pik."
